Dr. Heather Orkwis, a native of the Pittsburgh area, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated with honors with degrees in Biology and Hispanic Literature and Language. She continued onto medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Orkwis completed her dermatology residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Michigan State University).

She is staff member at St. Clair Hospital and Washington Hospital. She has published numerous journal articles, and has given presentations at national meetings. Dr. Orkwis specializes in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Orkwis is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese languages.
